Carve, Create, Cast: A Journey into Wax Ring Making
Spend a day immersed in creativity and learn the ancient art of wax carving to design and create your own one-of-a-kind ring.
Perfect for beginners and those new to wax work, this hands-on workshop will guide you through the process of shaping, carving, and texturing wax to bring your ring design to life. In a relaxed, supportive setting, I’ll show you how to size your ring properly, experiment with tools and techniques, and add beautiful textures, patterns, or fine details to express your unique style.
Throughout the day, you’ll explore:
Ring sizing and fitting for comfort
Traditional wax carving techniques
Texturing and detailing methods
Design development and personalisation
At the end of the workshop, you'll have completed your own hand-carved wax ring, ready to be cast into sterling silver. I will take care of casting and finishing your ring, which will be ready for collection or express post delivery approximately two weeks after the workshop.
All wax and carving tools are provided. Feel free to bring along any additional tools or inspiration for your design.
Please note: The cost of casting is not included in the workshop price and will be calculated on the day (typically between $40–$50, depending on the size and weight of the ring). Collection or postage options are available.
