Since graduating at the end of 2006 from Adelaide Center for the Arts with a Bachelor of Visual Arts and Applied Design Specialising in Jewellery, Sarah has continued to establish a strong jewellery practice in Adelaide. In 2007 - 2008 Sarah went straight from study into a two year Associate position in the Metal Studio, JamFactory under Creative Director Sue Lorraine. In the same year she also received a residency from the Helpmann Academy to spend a couple months in Jingdezhen, China at the Pottery Workshop. In 2009 she stayed on at the JamFactory as a tenant in Studio 7 before joining Gray Street Workshop for two and a half years from 2010 - mid 2012. Mid 2012 Sarah moved into her own studio and showroom in the Edments Building, Gawler Place, Adelaide. Since then she has created a brooch which was given to Hillary Clinton and a neck-piece from the same collection being acquired by the Powerhouse Museum, Sydney.
Sarah now operates Sarah Rothe | jewellery & design from a gorgeous little store front in the historic Regent Arcade, just off Rundle Mall in the heart of Adelaide's CBD.
